Surfside Clam Chowder: A Taste of the Coast
Some flavors stay with you long after you’ve left the place where you first tasted them. For us, Surfside Clam Chowder comes from growing up along the Southeast coast—where salty air, shifting tides, and simple seaside meals shaped the way we think about food.
Memories of time spent on the coast.
This chowder is our take on a Charleston–style classic, built around everything we love about traditional clam chowder: tender clams, creamy broth, hearty potatoes and smokey bacon that make each spoonful feel grounding and familiar. To that foundation, we added a subtle Folk Eats twist—a touch of smoked gouda that brings warmth and depth without overpowering the dish. It’s gentle, comforting, and just a little unexpected.
We’ve brought this all the way from the coast to enjoy in this cooler climate. It’s a bowl that warms you up and slows things down, even if you’re far from the coast.
As with everything we make, this chowder is prepared from scratch with care and intention. No shortcuts, no unnecessary extras—just good ingredients, treated simply and thoughtfully.
You can find us Saturdays at the Fort Collins Farmers Market, Fridays and Saturdays at The Yard next to Ventry in Lafayette, or order online to bring that coastal flavor home.
